Prepare to be underwhelmed
This show, in my opinion, had a few classic songs that were not on "Electric" such as "Sweet Soul Sister", an abridged version of "Phoenix", a garbled version of "She Sells Sanctuary" that should've included a third guitarist for the acoustic riff in the song, and others that were less notable. The majority of their songs are taken from "Electric", which I consider a subpar album. If you've listened to the albums before it ("Love") and after it ("Sonic Temple"), you'll notice a significant difference.
Billy Duffy sounded great, and the band was tight. Ian Astbury, on the other hand, should probably retire. He's let himself go in more ways than one. His stage presence sucked; he could barely be understood and mumbled something about not losing your poetry, capitalism, and national debt. He frequently squatted down in front of the drum kit, cut his vocals short, and walked around on stage in his jacket, which he never took off, not even his sunglasses. I guess he was maintaining some sort of persona up there. This show was mediocre.
